This striped blue ceramic vase was made on the potters wheel. When I threw it, I used a textured potter’s rib to form a deep groove into the wet clay.
I used a transparent blue glaze letting it pool among the ridges. I left the peaks unglazed, so you can see the iron-based clay.
Inside, the vase is fully glazed and will hold water for flowers. It is great for a bedside table, desk, or an entryway table. I love this vase for billy balls, bunny tails, or silver dollar eucalyptus greenery.
